Big Boy

As you know, Brody's 2nd birthday was on Monday. Today he had his two year check-up. He is a healthy, happy toddler. He was such a good boy, even after an hour wait, two shots, a flu mist and two finger pricks.

As usual, his height (39 inches) and weight (38 pounds) are way off the charts. He doesn't even fall in a percentile any more. His little dot is so far above the curve, it's almost off the page. Literally! According to his doctor, he is a "big ole hoss." The doctor told us today if he stays on this same growth pattern he will be about 6' 5". Even if he slows down, he will definitely be taller than Nathan (6' 2").

Happy 2nd!

Brody is two! He woke up today excited for "everybody" (at his party, which isn't until Saturday) and "cake." We spent the day doing having what I imagine to be a two-year-old's dream day...Little Gym in the morning, lunch with DD & Opa at Purple Cow (corn dogs & a milkshake!), lots of play time with his choo-choos, games at Chuck E Cheese, a happy meal at McDonald's and CAKE! Whew. Good thing it's a year until three!

Roar

Every boy, at once stage in his life, probably has a dinosaur obsession. At not yet two, Brody has entered his. He can say "dinosaur" and "T Rex" with distinct clarity. Today (along with LoLo, Aunt Hayley, and cousins Jane & Sydney) we went to the Heard Museum, which has a nature trail and...you guessed it...dinosaurs. These dinosaurs are huge. They move. And roar. Very thrilling/terrifying!

Snack-time may have been the most enjoyable time for all three.

Loads of Christmas

Christmas 2009 was a wonderful holiday in the Jennings household! We started with my family (the Millers/Dowds) at our house on Christmas Eve. There was food aplenty. We had the chili and tamales we have eaten every Christmas Eve for as long as my memories go back. And of course there were tons of gifts! Christmas Morning was just our family for stockings and Santa's big gift. Then we went to Nathan's parents house for fun with the cousins, Aunt Jennifer, Mamma, and of course LoLo and Pop. It was fun to see the little ones really play with each other.
