We joined some friends today at the arboretum.  I had hoped for some pictures by the pumpkins, but that didn't really work out.  Here were a couple of pictures we took wandering around that just were so fun I had to share.

The Flying Guitars that Never End

Last week Brody went to Rock and Roll camp.  He spent the week learning about music through electric guitars, keyboards, drums and his favorite, the shakers.  He and his new friends Gigi and Joey (twins), named their band The Flying Guitars that Never End.  This was the big show they put on at the end of the week.  Does everyone recognize "We Will Rock You"?

madison is married...

Our cousin Madison was married to Daniel this past weekend.  It was a fun, FUN, beautiful weekend in the hill country.  Brody had an absolute blast and was so handsome in his seersucker suit.  Stay tuned to megantakesphotos.com for more "wedding-y" photos to be posted soon.  But here are some highlights of Brody's weekend!

Park Day

Today was the last day of school!  And that means park day at Brody's preschool.  He had a very good year and has made some great friends.

Rite of passage

It's a day I've been expecting for a while now, especially as Brody becomes more adventurous and moving faster.  I thought it would come from him barreling down our steep driveway on his scooter, but instead it came on a swingset, surrounded by the people he loves the most...his cousins.  Brody's first broken arm.

You can see it's really getting his spirits down.

This morning Brody made his soccer debut as #14 on the Demolishers (AKA "Rhett's Team").  It was so much fun to watch him play with his friends from school and church. Brody was the new kid on the team, but he went for it wholeheartedly and when he slowed down he had a BIG cheerleading section to get him back in the game.  

Did he score a goal?  YOU BET!!!

Happy 4th Birthday Brody!

Today I realize that time flies...

just like our son buzzing by on his bike or scooter.

Yesterday Brody said, "Mommy, today is the last day that I will be three."  When did our little baby turn into a boy who can think such creative and thoughtful concepts?  He is a big boy with a big heart who has completely captivated Nathan and me.
